What Are They Doing.

There are five republicans in the U.S. Senate that are trying to cut the republicans in the U.S. House and their presidential candidate off at the knees.  That is the wrong thing to do. The republicans on the gang of 10 (Lindsey Graham, John Thune, Saxby Chambliss, Bob Corker and Johnny Isakson) are idiots.  This is a big issue for the party and they may very well have blunted it.

Why is that the Rhinos are trying to sabotage th party?  This is not a rhetorical question. There is an answer and it is that they feel that they have to capitulate to the democrats.  This is a wrong headed feeling.  I would rather have the federal government shut down then to have thes so-called republicans give the democrats every thing that they want.

One Thing Or Another

Things are getting real confusing.  On the one hand there are the the pundits that say that this will be a big democratic year with the democrats picking up seats in both houses of congress and also the White House.  Then there are polls that say that the people of this fair country are very unhappy with the way congress conducts itself.  The Rasmussen Poll, a very reputable poll, says that the congresses  popularity is at historic (9%) lows.  This is all due to one thing, gas prices.

I think that there is coming a major come-upance  for these political pundits.  If they don't get their act together then they might look as bad as they did in 2000.

How can majority party that has "lead" congress into the worst popularity ever be expected to hang on to congress?  They should not.  If the bumbling and stumbling republicans can get their acts together, then they can beat the stew out the dems and possibly get enough seats in both houses to pass things that will help the nation.

There has been a prediction by one of these tel-evangelists (Reverend Perry Stone) that there is a growing resntment and backlash toward the environmental movement.   If this is going to be the case, then it will be much easier to pass thing that will help with our energy crisis.

What is He

Obama has all but said that he wants to serve as a blank slate.  He wants to be evevything to all people.  When someone says that you have to watch out that he or she does not go hard in the other direction.  The people who believ in him, better look out becauase they may be in for a major disapointment.

This man is a hard left radical.  He hates the military.  He wants to raise taxes.  This is a person will rule by polls and not by his gut.  That is not the type of person that we need as President.   We need a President that will do what is right for the nation even at the cost of his personal popularity.  I am not so sure that Obama will do that.

I am not so sure that he has the moral character and intestinal fortitude to break with the environmental movement if the polls say that he should.  If the polls, as they do now, say that we should drill, I have no confidence that he will listen.  He will remain galatically deaf.  On this issue the people may have to drag him by the nose, like Lousisanan's did with Bobby Jindal with the issue of legilative pay raises.  We will also need to work with the congress.  I think that this will be a much eaiser thing because I think that there will be enough of a backlash against the environmentlists that the pundits will be wrong about the Democrats will not win a vast majority of the seats in congress.
